"The Mapping Of Wondrous Places"
Opening Night Friday the 22nd March from 7pm
Exhibition Runs 23rd March to the 14th April 2019
Lyn Henry is Southland-born, and lives on a 5 acre property on the outskirts of Invercargill. She feels at home in the big skies and robust climate of Southland, which often find their way into her paintings.
Lyn describes her paintings as semi-abstract impressionist; some are purely abstract works, some move easily into realism. All are deeply thought-out, very rarely painted just for the image itself. Behind most of Lyn's paintings is a deep connection to her 'wondrous places'.
In this exhibition she explores three of her favourite places.
